Core features and tools of this page-layout application will be covered, including concepts such as setting up documents with master pages, and easily formatting text, objects and tables using styles. Beginning with creating and editing documents, the course moves on how to navigate and customise the workspace, work with text frames and graphics, add and format tables. Finally, learn how to package, print and export your finished project.

Learners do not need to have any prior knowledge of using Adobe InDesign. You should be comfortable using a computer for general use, such as basic keyboard and mouse skills, opening files and folders, and launching applications.

This InDesign Advanced course will demonstrate how to create long and interactive documents. The course will show how to create book-length documents in workflows with multiple users – using both InDesign features and third-party plug-ins. We will focus on long document elements, such as devising a table of contents and an index, page and chapter numbering, and cross-referencing. The course also provides an overview of document construction, from creating master pages and applying consistent formatting with styles, to placing text and images and outputting to both print and interactive PDF.
