Introduction Course

This course in Lightroom CC brings this image manipulation, enhancement, and publishing program for Windows and Macintosh into the Creative Cloud. We demonstrate how to integrate the rest of the Adobe apps as well as access to Lightroom Mobile. We start with the Exploring the Library module: a hub for importing, viewing, ranking and rating your photographs. Then we move to the Develop module and show how to make one-click enhancements, correct exposure, retouch distractions, and perform local adjustments and more.

Learners do not need to have any prior knowledge of using Adobe Lightroom. You should be comfortable using a computer for general use, such as basic keyboard and mouse skills, opening files and folders, and launching applications.

Advanced Course

In this Advanced Lightroom course we examine HDR imaging and its ability to merge multiple exposures into an all-new Digital Negative (DNG) file. This file provides you with even more precise control over shadows, highlights, clarity and contrast—with minimal changes to your shooting and post-production workflow. We will demonstrate how to get the most of Lightroom’s Photomerge command and its image development and enhancement features to get more control over the dynamic range of your images. We will provide tips for shooting HDR photos, creating black and white versions of images and combining Lightroom with Photoshop and Photomatix Pro.

Learners should be comfortable using Adobe Lightroom for most of the topics covered in our Introduction course.
